Edge Apr 27. 048

I remember the very day I bought the first issue of Edge magazine, it was during a summer when I was working for my dad at his offices in Lower Earley. This particular lunchtime I walked up to the local supermarket and handed over my hard earned cash for what was to become one of the most respected video games publications of the nineties.

Edges magazine, issues 1 to 107.

Early issues reported on upcoming consoles such as the ‘“3DO”:http://www.nerv.us/features.php?feature_id=18’, ‘Sega Saturn’ and early rumours of a ‘“Sony”:http://www.playstation.co.uk’ games console. Edge magazine is still running today but I stopped collecting some time ago; I have issues 1 through to 107.

The question is, what on earth should I do with them? Try to flog them on e-bay, or box em up and keep them for the memories?

When I was in my home town where I have a big room in a big House, I have all my magazines piled up every since I learn to buy mags and read them. But here in this city where I live now, I usually gave it away to the cleaner boys/girls when it grows about a year old.

I think you’ve should box em and treasure them. I’ve got all Edge issues since number 6 and i keep ‘em to show my kids what kind of games they’re dad used to play :-)

I think that’s probably my best bet, else I’ll regret getting rid at some later date. :)

Dear guys

I work as a researcher for a TV company in London that makes shows about video games and the video games industry. I was interested to read your posting to The Edge magazine.

I wanted to know how many of these you had and if your collection was by any chance up for sale or even if there was any possibility of us filming your collection for a news story we have planned.

If you could get back to me with your thoughts or if you know someone who could help then it would be most

Regards

Jenn, you can sober on my shoulder anytime when it comes to that. I have lost more money in vending machines. I think the night custodian thinks I’m a psycho from hell.

One of the most important things in anybodies life is earning a living. When you have an enough inflow of cash to meet your needs, the confidence with which you live is different when compared to a condition where you don’t have a usual source of income. You can have a small or big business in order to earn money for a living or you can have the usual job to earn cash.
