Phireworx have announced that Brian Edgin has joined them as a Senior Developer. Brian has spent the last two and half years doing interface and new feature design on the Fireworks development team at Macromedia. Although Brian may be leaving Macromedia to pursue other opportunities, his heart is still close to Fireworks. “It is amazing how extensible Fireworks is!” Brian says, “Most of us have only begun to scratch the surface.”
I think it’s time for a new web browser… Jun 03. 030
Well, for a long time I’ve used IE on a day to day basis, it’s done the job, yes it’s full of bugs and annoying ‘Microsoft Features’ but it works and after all it’s a part of Windows, so it’s just there.
Thing is, recently IE is grating more and more, and there’s a new kid on the block for us Windows users. It goes by the name of Mozilla Firebird, and first impressions are that this is everything that Netscape 6 and 7 should have been.
If you know what’s good for you I strongly suggest that you get your backside over to Mozilla and download it right now. You have been told. :)
Writing extensions for Fireworks MX is fun… May 16. 030
Writing extensions for Fireworks MX is fun. Last night I spent some time putting the final touches to a command panel that I’ve been working on for a long time.
During this time it occured to me that there really are very few Fireworks extension developers out there, you know I think I could probably count them on a single hand…, a search through my favourites should put this one to rest.
There you go then. Let me know if you can be added to the list.
On Monday I reached the grand old age of 26… May 14. 030
On Monday I reached the grand old age of 26…, it’s really quite depressing to realise that I’m now well on my way to 30.
There was a time when I felt young, I had the whole rest of my life ahead of me, but now I feel like I’m up against the clock, every minute, day, week and month counts.
‘PC World’, full of sales guys who know nothing… May 07. 030
Last night I took a visit to ‘PC World’, full of sales guys who know nothing about the product and just want to sell you a service plan.
Anyhow, I/We (My wife and I) ended up buying a cheapy Logitech webcam amonst other things, I have to say this has to be the most fun you can have for such a small amount of cash. Well worth the spend.
