Let me introduce Baby P #2 Apr 19. 055
Well, I thought I might take some time out to introduce you to the newest forthcoming addition to our little family. Baby P #2 or as we now know her, Isla Debra Pitman.

We just had our 20 week scan on Monday. All checked out ok and they confirmed that yes, it’s another girl. So Neve will have a little sis to keep her company and cause trouble with. I’m totally outnumbered but I’m still dead happy.
12 months as a father Mar 15. 052
Yesterday my daughter had her very first Birthday party. It hardly seems like a year since she was born and the last 12 months have given me some of the happiest moments of my life, I can hardly imagine what the next 12 will bring.

I thought that I’d share some of the things I have learned about being a father, and perhaps those of you who are in the same position might be able to impart similar wisdom.
- Somehow up until now you never noticed which floorboards in your house creaked. With a years knowledge you can make it from the bed to the toilet without hitting a duff board.
- Getting ready for work never took so long. But then stopping your daughter from emptying all the drawers in the bedroom was never part of the routine back then.
- If they do something wrong, no matter how funny it is, don’t laugh. Because when you do (and you will) they will do it again, and again, and again.
- You can say the word ‘No’ in a million different ways, sometimes you have to try different vocal variations to prevent it from getting boring, but this only really applies once the little monster/s get mobile.
- If your child decides to have a poo in the bath, don’t lift them out straight away and make a fuss. They think that’s funny and kick and giggle, which only makes things worse.
And finally…
Nothing ever prepares you for the love that you will have for your child or the unconditional love that they will have for you, every smile and giggle will melt your heart a thousand times over.
Supersonic! Nov 18. 041
Sometimes my daughter Neve is soooo cute. I just had to blog this. :)
Look daddy I can crawl, and climb, and stand! Oct 19. 043
Now that Neve has started crawling she has decided that it’s time to up the ante and work on climbing and standing too! There’s no stopping the little girl, especially when the target is Jo’s shiny mobile phone.
The video was recorded using a Casio QV-R40 Digital Camera, imported into Flash MX 2004 Pro, and then exported as an FLV which has been embedded into a Flash Media Playback Component.
Note: I’ve optimised the FLV for broadband (512k) playback.
Neve is mobile! Oct 06. 043
This afternoon my daughter Neve did her first real proper bit of crawling, none of this lazy; one crawl then lie flat on the belly for a rest lark, proper crawling, covering a metre and a half I’d guess before taking a break!

When I look back at my blog entry from the day she was born I can’t believe that she’s already nearly 7 months old. These are moments to treasure forever.
