Boing boing Sunday May 29, 2005

We’ve recently moved our daughter Neve from her cot into a big girls bed. She’s been pretty good in it so far, when she wakes she will sit and wait for us to come and get her, however during daylight the bed magically turns into a trampoline or a ‘boing boing’ (as you can see).

We actually recorded this little video clip to show my parents how good she was in the bed and that she doesn’t try to climb out… hmm… how long before she’s clambering out and coming in to wake me at 6am so we can watch CBeebies together.

And there’s nothing quite like the Teletubies at 6am, other than Balamory at about 8am of course :)

    Flob-a-dob yourself John.

When I was at school, to ‘flob’ was to ‘spit’. With that in mind the dialogue in ‘bill and ben’ has a totally different feel.

Yeah, with all that flobbing all Bill and Ben need are a couple of baseball caps and hoodies and they’d fit right in with today’s youth.

In the original Bill and Ben days, and I am old enough to remember them, there was a theory that Bill and Ben were speaking in Russian and it was all part of a left wing plot at the BBC. In the meantime everyone was so naive they missed the real undertones in the Captain Pugwash scripts! And to think we let our children watch it….

Recorded it on my Casio Digital Camera as an MPG then encoded it as an FLV for Flash Playback. :)
